Huh. With Weaver-tech, can you follow the thread back to where it came from? Snatches-Food, Jack of All Trades that she is, tries to recall if she's heard of anything like that.

She has no idea.She makes a mental note to ask that Homid about it, then continues on to meet up with the others.

Dan grins when the Wyrm-thing expires for the second time and rolls off the dusty corpse, reverting to his breed form as he strides across the room, casually digging through the first one's pocket, idily wondering if those clothes would fit him.
He really needs to learn how to Dedicate things, and put clothing high up on that priority list.

He doesn't answer the phone, instead taking a good, hard look at the number, committing it to memory, before setting it aside and deciding to see if the pants, at least, fit well enough.
"Morris Blackwood, and probably his cell number," Archer explains, still grinning in that way humans do, showing his teeth.

"That's plenty. We can either set this place on fire to kill us some evidence or frame our friend Mister Blackwood, he'll probably be able to dodge the charges, but we can at least make him burn some influence. Bring him to the public light, disguise our killing him as random vigilante justice, the whole nine yards,"
The grin drops.
"Assuming, of course, that you don't want to just pray you can chase him down, instead, and pray you make it?
"Oh, right,"

Dan tipped the newest Crinos a nod.

"I feel that I should point something out to the both of you: the Red Talon pack was ambushed. That means that they vampires knew they were coming. That they were there. There's a traitor amongst them. Howls-in-Silence told me something to that precise effect. Hunting leeches is all well and good, but we're up against a Garou who's fallen to the Wyrm, not just these bags of dust."

The undead leech falls to the floor, more lifeless than usual. Though vampires often turn to dust when they are destroyed, and the

Bane inside them ejected, this one remains more-or-less as she was.

"Shovelhead," snorts Storm-Dancer. The Red Talon female, still in her Crinos form, adds, "Young one. They don't rot away. Not for a while."

The vampire in the other room is dressed in business casualwear, charcoal-grey button-up shirt now stained crimson, and black pants. They could fit Walks-Forbidden-Trails in his Homid form, though not especially well. Like his partner, he hasn't turned to ash and bones, instead looking like every other mauled Fomor. His wallet is in his pants-pocket, and his discarded automatic lies at his side.

The number on the phone flashes 212-555-0017. No name is given.

A moment later, Tangled Wire rushes up the hallway, still in Homid form, clutching his heavy shoulder bag tightly.

"Cops coming, we gotta go, NOW!" he shouts, panting hard. In the distance, sirens wail.

Snatches-Food's ears perk up at the wailing sirens. Oh, right. Cops tend to come around after fights in the city, scavenging vultures that they are. As she comes up the stairs, she sees an unfamiliar Homid rushing along the hallway.

"Cops coming, we gotta go, NOW!" he shouts.

Ya don't say. Well, Snatches-Food was in too good a mood to let it be spoiled by some Master of the Obvious. She strides into the apartment, her tail wagging slightly.

"Ooh, better run along, then. In the meantime, I got the important one!"

Snatches-Food proudly hoists up the expensively clad leech decorated with bite marks and a squashed face.

"Unless you're shooting the bite marks off, I'm not sure it will make a difference, and it sounds like we don't have quite the time for precision work if we're not taking them with us. Actually, taking them with us sounds fun. Let's do that."

The wallet has a number of credit cards and a driver's license, all under the name Lawrence Warrington. More importantly, it has a hundred and sixty dollars in twenty-dollar bills.

"Alas, if the name in his wallet is right, he's a Lawrence Washington. Some lady called over the phone to tell him to get out of here, then hung up. Once he wakes up, we could probably use him to set up an ambush. Also, he's one of those vampires with eye based mind control powers."

With that out of the way, Snatches-Food proceeds to the more important business of hiding the money in her shotgun's shell case. Hopefully her friends could do something with the credit cards later....

Black-Fur reaches out and grabs Lawrence's head then, bracing his other hand against its shoulder, tears the leech's head off. In Garou, he explains: "Morris is the leader. The rest are fodder."

He looks around, then motions towards the window. "At the club. We go."

Tangled Wire, the small-ish Homid who really doesn't look like he's Garou save for the fact he's not so much as flinching at the Crinos-form werewolves in front of him, does a double-take.

"Wait, man, what?" he says,"Shit... that leech has the same name as me? You sure you heard that right? Wasn't... Maurice or something?"

Snatches-Food looks at the bloody stump that was the leeches head, and quietly sighs to herself. As expected of a Black Fury Ahroun, he apparently never stashes food for a cold winter...She makes a mental note never to bring him any potentially useful prisoners ever.

Dammit, now the only other witness to her glorious leech-stomping was dead. This Ahroun was beginning to grate on her nerves, no matter how pretty he was. In a slightly fouler mood, she transitions to deadpan snark.

"Well, that was easy. We found the leeches' boss, he was with us the whole time."

"Names come cheap, chummer." Dan half-explains in a lazy, non-commital manner.
"Examples: I'm Walks-Forbidden-Trails," he points at the Ragabash "That's Snatches-Food," and then shifts his point to Back-Fur-Rises, spitting out the last one's name, too.
"But right now, I'm..."
He checks the wallet he stole from the male.
"Harry Thorton, and Harry Thorton really needs to be getting out of this hole before Walks-Forbidden-Trails needs to call in several favours, so, shall we skedaddle?"

He slips the leech's discarded shirt over his shoulders and makes for the stairs, immediately heading for the roof.

"Strip the female, too!" he calls out behind him.

Tangled Wire starts heading for the fire escape. "Hey, Kekoa, you need a ride back?" he calls out to Dark Waters, adjusting the heavy leather bag's strap on his shoulder. It's bulging, looking odd on his small frame.

"What, don't feel pretty enough in men's clothing?" Snatches-Food calls after Walks. It did little to lighten her spirits. Clearly, seeing how competent she had been is dealing with Lawrence, Walks-Forbidden-Trails had left her with the job of disposing of the hunt's spoils so it wouldn't go to waste on the police. Oh, the burden of overachievment-oh wait, there were three strong Garou to do the job right there.

Very quickly divesting the female of clothing and possessions before Black-Fur took it into his head to throw it out a window or something, she let her head and tail down in a respectful pose.

"Pack-Leader Black-Fur, you wouldn't happen to be the fire making sort of Metis, would you? Some fire would do a wonderful job of clearing the air of Wyrm-stench..."

And follows Tangled Wire back to the bike.

Well, dammit. There goes the pretty Ahroun that seemed halfway intelligent. And the guy most likely to have a lighter should Black-Fur not be the fire making sort of Metis. One more hiccup, and she'd be half tempted to leave the three corpses in his obviously capable hands. See how'd he like getting those paws dirty cleaning up his own messes...

Black-Fur looks at Snatches-Food oddly, her words not quite registering in his head. "I have no such Gift," he replies, wondering why the strange she-wolf would assume he might. "Homids mind little the stench anyway."

He looks towards the Talons. "Your pack is whole again? Shall we run?"

Storm-Dancer nods. "Yes. We've been in this place long enough," she snarls. She looks to the Garou standing in the room. "Thank you. For protecting my packmate," she says as she lowers her head.\

Silver-Fire nods his thanks as well... he seems unused to being helped. Maybe it's a Ragabash thing.

"There's a mirror here," he jerks his head toward a full-length hallway mirror, "The apes won't follow us through the Umbra."

"Most welcome. It is a terrible thing, to have to fend off the parasites on your own in a hostile land."

The serious moment over, she turns to Black-Fur.

"Just leaving three corpses for those scavenging uniformed vultures to pick over, are we? Not a problem, I'll leave the matter in your capable hands."

Since he doesn't seem to quite grasp the problem here, Snatches-Food will bundle up the female's possessions, scoop up the severed head, and balance it on top of the open hallway door in plain view of the rest of the pack in the hopes that it will remind them vultures tend to follow those that make them meals in a manner that impedes careful stalking (and also slightly cheers her up as she thinks of the first law-man to fully open the door).

Important life lessons having been established for all parties, she strides to the mirror.

[And depending on how thick the gauntlet is around these parts, either is there a little while or hops right through.]
