Meanwhile, in the Umbra...

The Umbral side of the building is strewn with cobwebs. There's a skitter of Pattern Spiders as they skitter along the webs outside, reinforcing the unnatural structures of the city, and a faint electronic chittering as Net Spiders ride the signals and cables.

The wooden floor here bears a faint trace of forest-life-essence, but it's drowned in the slime of Wyrm-taint. There are streams of thicker rot-slime snaking through the building... and sticky patches where the vampires lay.

A smallish Bane, a whispy, thin, many-legged thing, whispers incessantly - and flees as the Garou come through the mirror.

This is the true face of New York City.

Dan finds his way upstairs, then through an empty apartment, down a back alley fire escape, and across the streets, ending up somewhere well enough away from the commotion that was sure to rain down on the scene of battle.
Then he fished the phone out of his pocket, and called an old friend.

Hopefully, the Chief would be awake.

Huh. So this is what the big city looks like from this side. Stinks a bit, crawling with Weaver taint...Snatches-Food idly wonders whether the Pattern Spiders would raise much of a fuss if somebody swung along the non-sticky webs. Probably.

Black-Fur growls at the sight of what the Wyrm and Weaver have done to Gaia's beautiful reality, swatting uselessly at the umbral webs in his vicinity.

With a snarl, he shifts back into Lupus form and, with the implied stance of a pack alpha, leads the Garou back towards the sept.

The Japanese motorbike's engine revs up, and Tangled Wire races off through the mostly-empty streets, taking a few shortcuts through alleyways. The Glass Walker seems very familiar with the city's less-obvious routes.

He avoids the major roads - too many sirens coming from that direction. At the edge of Central Park, he pulls over.

"Right, dude, here's your stop. I've got some techie stuff to do that I'd rather do away from those friggin' Red Talons. They've been snarling at me the whole two days they've been here."
